I am Deesa Stephens and this is my eleventh year teaching. I am married to my wonderful husband Nic and we have two beautiful daughters, Harper and Parker. For the first five years of my teaching career, I taught first grade, kindergarten, and sixth grade at Walter Wellborn Elementary School. This is my sixth year to teach gifted students in the Calhoun County School System, and I LOVE what I do. I am a graduate of Jacksonville State University, where I have received a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Elementary Education. I received my Gifted Specialist Certification from Samford University. I have had many years experience working with children of all ages. I am excited about this upcoming year, and I can not wait to get to know each of my students and their families. It is going to be an awesome year in the Calhoun County Gifted Program!!
